Job Description:
The ADAP approach to treatment is client centered, recovery oriented model. We believe that addiction is a chronic Brain disease and as with other chronic diseases needs to be managed long-term.
The residential program at ADAP is called Day Treatment Plus - Day Treatment Plus is a program specifically designed for clients who do not require any medically supervised detoxification, but do need a supportive environment. Clients involved in the Day Treatment Plus program may stay overnight in the residential unit in addition to attending the residential ADAP groups. The length of stay for clients in the Day Treatment Program is variable and can range from 10 days, up to 21 days depending on a client's needs.
The evening outpatient program consists of two segments - the Primary phase and the Recovery Maintenance/Relapse Prevention phase.
The day outpatient program consists of two segments - the Primary phase and the Recovery Maintenance/Relapse Prevention phase.
Position Summary:
Provides assessment of chemical use problems, creates and monitors individualized treatment plans, provides family counseling and chemical health counseling services to individuals with chemical abuse problems; and performs related duties as assigned. Works with adolescent clients and their families.
Requirements:
Education:
Master's degree and licensure in LMFT, LMSW, LPCC
Experience:
At least one year of outpatient or inpatient program experience.
Knowledge, Skills
& Abilities:
Must not have had a felony conviction or have been incarcerated as a result of a felony conviction in the last three years. Must be free of chemical use problems for a period of two years. Must have successfully completed a background study in accordance with Minnesota Rule 11.
Ability to communicate with people and fellow employees.
Ability to use the twelve core functions of counseling with clients.
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
LMFT OR LMSW OR LPCC along with LADC
